Plan your room to scale

Enter the room's width and length, then drag the furniture around. Anything that collides gets a red outline, and a blue band traces the way from the door to the back of the room, if there is one.

Working out the layout…

Tap a piece of furniture on the plan to edit its position and size here.

Dragging snaps to 5 cm. With a piece selected, arrow keys move it 5 cm, or 1 cm with Shift held down.

Why is something outlined in red?

It overlaps another piece or sticks out through a wall. Height isn't considered, so a chair tucked under a desk counts as an overlap too.

How accurate is the route check?

It works on a 10 cm grid, so it can be a little stricter than real life. The 60 cm route note goes into the details.

How to use it

All you need is a tape measure

With the room measured, your first plan takes about five minutes.

  1. 1

    Measure the room

Enter the floor length between walls in centimeters. If there are baseboards, measure from the face of one to the face of the other.

  2. 2

    Place the furniture

Pick from the list and drag pieces into position. Change the sizes to the outside dimensions of what you're buying, not the mattress size.

  3. 3

    Check, then save

A red outline means two things overlap. The status bar tells you whether a path runs from the door to the back of the room. Happy with it? Save a PNG or copy a link.
